All About Eyes

Majority of women have such complex and busy schedules that it makes it difficult for them to get a good nights sleep. This can lead to many physical changes in the body. For all intensive purposes this article will discuss its main effects on the eyes, specifically dark circles and puffiness. There are two routes one can take to alleviate these issues there is a holistic natural route and a skin care product route. Personally, I just use products. What I recommend to my audience is that they use a combination of both.

Holistic, Natural Route:

1. Elevate your head at bedtime. Don't lay flat when you sleep. When you lie flat the water that is naturally in our body just settles in the head area not only leading to that puffy face look, but puffy eye look.
2. Place a cold wash cloth over your eyes. Get a wet wash cloth place it in a zip lock bag and put it in freezer. Then, place over your eyes at night to reduce puffiness.
3. Drink plenty of water. It has always been said that drinking water reduces puffiness and dark circles.

Skin care product Route:

I personally use Clinique's eye care line. I use two specifically from their lineup.

All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage:

Use twice a day in the morning and night. Roll it firmly under your eyes, 2 times. Since using this, it did drastically reduce the puffiness of my eyes. If I don't use it for a period of time that puffiness returns.

Eye Creams:
  $37.00

$52.00

I alternate between these two eye creams. They do the same things but at different intensities. It reduces dark circles along with fine lines and wrinkles. After, a couple of minutes after using the De-puffing eye massage I use the cream. These definitely work best in combo with the eye massage in my experience.

New Product Alert:

Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector: This eye cream not only reduces puffiness but lightens dark circles. I have not personally used this product but I hear good things online about it. Price $39.50.

FUN FACT: If we lived in certain Asian Countries actually having bags under your eyes is considered a Beauty mark. When you smile your eyes become puffy and they bag little underneath. So its considered something of a beauty mark.

  1. Thanks! this was very helpful. I always feel like I have such dark circles under my eyes. I put concealer but it doesn't work that great. Maybe you can do a post on concealers!? The Clinique firming eye cream really does work well?

  2. Thanks for the "natural" suggestions. They are good to know because if we're not doing those, then the creams/lotions, etc can only do so much.
